One idea, one concept, one thought – it’s a spark, and that spark can change everything. With that comes action, success, momentum, and a bright future for the Sports Car Club of America™. It’s all of these reasons that the theme of the 2027 SCCA® National Convention is Spark – and we’re happy to announce that the Club has locked in dates for that convention, with the free online event taking place Jan. 15-20, 2027, on just about any internet connected device with a screen.
With a price of FREE to SCCA members, the National Convention is an annual tradition that began in 1944 and continues to this day. Back then, Club leaders were trying to wrap their arms around what their new automotive club was, and what it would become. Today, the National Convention is the meeting place for all members, volunteers, leaders, officials, competitors, and staff to come together for six days to learn and collaborate, all while recognizing exceptional performances from the prior year through award ceremonies.
Part of the SCCA National Convention also includes the SCCA Hall of Fame & Awards Presentation, which recognizes long-term accomplishments within the Club.
Come One, Come All
Not a Region leader? Everyone is welcome! From drivers to volunteers to those simply curious about the inner workings of the Club, the SCCA National Convention is for all members.
What are you supposed to do with this information? For now, mark Jan. 15-20, 2027, on your calendar. Then also mark a couple of other dates, like Dec. 1, 2026, which is when event registration opens, and then Dec. 15, 2026, when the National Convention’s event schedule will be revealed.
Don’t worry, we’ll remind you of those dates as the year progresses.
You’ll also want to remember to allocate precisely $0 to attend the event, since the National Convention is free for all SCCA members to attend. To partake in the Convention, you’ll simply need a computer, tablet, or phone with an internet connection, and the Whova app, which the Club uses to organize and host the event.
Building Success Together
In 2026, roughly 1,000 members came together to learn more about the direction of the Club’s programs, how to become a more effective Club leader, how to market and grow events, and more. In 2027, we’ll build on all of that, with the ensuing conversations sparking something your Region can use to grow and excel.
